1996 Porsche 911 (993) Turbo for sale!

Unique PTS Ferrari Yellow 993 Turbo With Just 30,984 Miles. A Three Owner California Car, Optioned With Model Designation Delete and Digital Sound Package.

This 1996 Porsche 993 Turbo is a particularly special example, specified in Paint to Sample Ferrari Giallo (yellow) over a Black Supple Leather interior. Completed by Porsche on February 19th 1996, the car was then shipped to California where it was sold to its first owner through Stevens Creek Porsche on March 31st 1996. Since that time, the car has had three reported owners, all based locally in the greater San Francisco Bay Area. When new, this 993 Turbo was optioned with the Digital Sound Package along with a 6-CD Changer, and the interior is fitted with Light Maplewood on the steering wheel and Light Rootwood on the shift knob. Driven just 30,984 miles from new, this 993 Turbo has clearly been well cared for throughout its life and is ready to be enjoyed by its next owner. Included with the sale are all of the original books and manuals along with the factory tool kit, jack and space saver spare tire.

When Porsche’s 993 went on sale in January of 1994, it was the largest technological step forward in the 911’s 31-year history. With only 20% of the parts carried over from the previous generation, the 993 featured many firsts for the 911; a multi-link rear suspension, coil, and wishbone front suspension, and a 6-speed manual transmission to name a few. In 1995, Porsche introduced the 993 Turbo, a revolutionary car for the brand which created the template that all successive 911 Turbos have been based on. Leaning heavily on technology seen in the ultra-limited production Porsche 959, the 993 Turbo utilized twin-turbocharging as well as an advanced all-wheel-drive system both of which made the car shockingly fast while also exceptionally usable. Universally held up by car magazines at the time as one of the best performance cars available, enthusiasm for the 993 Turbo has not died down as it represents the pinnacle of air-cooled 911 development and remains a car with a classic feel that is also fast, comfortable and reliable.
