In 1999, Porsche celebrated the turn of the century with a special edition: the 996 “Millennium Edition.” The 911 Millennium Edition was offered as a special edition of the 996 for the 2000 model year, was based on the Carrera 4 coupe and was quite rare: only 911 examples were made.

The “Millennium Edition” was based exclusively on the Carrera 4 and was limited to 911 examples. This special edition was finished with Violet Chromaflair paint, which changes from dark purple to light green depending on the light and is quite spectacular to look at. That’s really the key to the Millennium Edition 911, the unique paint job.

In 1999 vierde Porsche de eeuwwisseling met een speciale editie: de 996 “Millennium Edition”. De 911 Millennium Edition werd aangeboden als een speciale editie van de 996 voor het modeljaar 2000, was gebaseerd op de Carrera 4 coupé en was vrij zeldzaam: er werden slechts 911 exemplaren van gemaakt.

De “Millennium Edition” was uitsluitend gebaseerd op de Carrera 4 en was beperkt tot 911 exemplaren. Deze speciale editie was afgewerkt met Violet Chromaflair lak, die afhankelijk van het licht verandert van donkerpaars naar lichtgroen en heel spectaculair is om naar te kijken. Dat is echt de sleutel tot de Millennium Edition 911, het unieke lakwerk.
