The Turbo is one of the most iconic versions of the Porsche 911 series, with the 996-generation known for its groundbreaking performance and distinctive design. The 996 Turbo uses the legendary Mezger engine, which shares its design roots with Porsche’s Le Mans-winning GT1 race car. Known for durability and tunability, this engine avoids some of the issues of other 996 variants, such as IMS bearing failure.
