Just now we have another one of those: Because just when the 997 came as an MK2 version with a PDK gearbox, very few people chose the manual transmission. And that’s a shame, because a manual transmission fits so terribly well in a 911. Of course, a PDK is faster and shifts better than you could probably do yourself, but it is the experience that is really very different with a manual transmission. Very nice to experience and especially for a hobby car. But the manual transmission is not the only thing that makes this 997 special. Besides the fact that the MK2 version is engine-wise stronger but also better than the first series, this 911 has LED lighting all around on the outside, which makes it look more modern and inside it has PCM navigation with bluetooth phone and touchscreen controls. Surely things we are used to today. So far, so functional, because otherwise this great white 997 is all emotion.
It has great options such as a switchable Sport exhaust, a Sport Chono package Plus, a Sport Paddle steering wheel (without paddles), shift shortening, and those wonderfully comfortable Sport seats. But also a sunroof, Porsche Active Suspension Management, and even a center console covered in leather. Obviously a leather interior as well, so the dashboard and doors are beautifully finished in leather. The rotating headlights, specific option for the MK2 models, is also not missing so you can immediately see that this is the newer 997. Anyway, what really makes it special is the overall combination and some choices made by the last enthusiast. For example, it has an extra lowered sports suspension, also switchable..
The interior has also been made a bit sportier by spraying the back of the sports seats in the car color White and the steering wheel has been reupholstered with Alcantara, including 12-hour markings in yellow. This is not for nothing; it matches nicely with the new yellow seat belts and yellow brake calipers.
Of course, this 911 is damage-free and dealer maintained and ready for many fun miles where fun comments will be more the rule than the exception….
