BACKGROUND

The 993 Carrera 4S is arguably the best pick of the air-cooled range: Porsche took the Turbo’s wide body, its four-wheel-drive system, its big brakes and its lowered stance, and paired them with the naturally aspirated Carrera drivetrain. The result is the Turbo’s presence with the purity of a free-breathing flat-six, a recipe that has made the C4S one of the most coveted 993s ever since. It is rumored that the C4S was the favorite variant of the entire 993 range for Porsche’s board of directors back then.

Power comes from the late M64/21 Varioram 3.6-litre flat-six, good for 285 hp, driving all four wheels through the G64/20 six-speed manual gearbox. It is the final iteration of the air-cooled 911 engine, in its most charismatic body shape.

ABOUT THIS CAR

This Carrera 4S was sold new in January 1996 through AMAG Zürich as a Swiss-market car (C10) and delivered to its first owner in Liechtenstein, who kept it for almost two decades. It is finished in Black Pearl Metallic (L744) over a Cashmere beige (YA) interior with supple Raffleder seats (982/939), with extended-leather on the dashboard, door panels and centre console. A very elegant cabin that contrasts beautifully against the gold-flaked metallic paint.

This car was also fitted with the lowered sports suspension (033), for a more aggressive stance further enhancing its wide rear hips. As a true Liechtenstein-delivered car, comfort was not forgotten either: electric seats (437/438) with seat heating (139/340), air conditioning (573), electric sunroof (650), cruise control (454), the on-board computer (659) and the Hi-Fi sound package (490) with Porsche CDR-21 CD radio (686). This is a genuine grand tourer, backed by the 75-litre fuel tank (544), ready for numerous cross-continent road trips and holidays.

The original stamped service book records regular maintenance from new, with a fully traceable mileage from new. Most recently, the car was last serviced in April 2025 and fitted with brand new N-rated tires all around. It is fully sorted for its next owner to enjoy!
