Porsche 996 Turbo

Porsche 996 Turbo

Cupê, 2002

Destaques

  • Highly sought-after manual transmission!
  • Custom-built exhaust system!
  • KW Clubsport 2 suspension kit

We are strong believers in objective data and avoid using epithets or personal impressions when describing the cars we sell. However, in this case, we simply cannot resist — a special value judgment is unavoidable, as we are faced with an absolutely exceptional example.

This is a 2002 Porsche 996 Turbo with 153,000 km and the highly sought-after manual transmission. But while a 996 Turbo alone already carries serious weight, this particular car goes far beyond that. It has been substantially upgraded, following a coherent philosophy: increasing power must always be accompanied by the necessary improvements in braking, chassis, clutch, and exhaust to maintain overall balance — even with a dramatic performance increase.

O veículo em detalhes

And indeed, this car has received truly staggering upgrades:

  • K24 Evo GT2 turbochargers, currently valued at €2,100 each (installation not included – Design911)
  • 997 GT2 intercoolers, valued at €1,700 plus installation (Design911)
  • Custom-built exhaust system, specifically designed for this configuration and fine-tuned on a dyno by APP Racing (€1,950 plus installation; invoice available) — sounding like the trumpets of hell
  • Reinforced Porsche Motorsport clutch, rated for up to 870 Nm of torque
  • 996 GT3 Cup brake calipers and discs, significantly oversized compared to the standard setup
  • Short-shift kit
  • KW Clubsport 2 suspension kit, installed by Manthey Racing, who also fine-tuned the geometry; total installation cost €4,400 (invoice available)

In addition, the car is equipped with a carbon rear wing and electric wing lifters, replacing the original hydraulic system and permanently eliminating the well-known reliability issues of the factory pistons.
All performance upgrades — except the suspension — were carried out by APP Racing Engines, who also feature this car on their website as one of their highlighted builds.
In total, over €15,000 in upgrades, resulting in an extraordinary dynamic outcome. According to dyno test results (see documents), this car produces 592 hp and 788 Nm of torque, representing a 40% increase over factory performance.

We cannot responsibly state the car’s top speed in this configuration — testing such figures would be reckless. What we can say is that real-world performance is brutal:third gear devours mountain roads, while sixth gear on the motorway pulls from 50 km/h to speeds we simply cannot disclose.
As mentioned, we usually avoid subjective descriptions — but in this case, restraint is impossible. This car is a true wild beast, a masterpiece that we honestly hesitate to sell, as it is a genuine collector’s gem.
Beyond its dynamic capabilities, the car features the full standard Turbo equipment, complemented by an extended natural leather interior package and numerous leather and aluminium details, giving it an elegant and discreet character… right up until the throttle is fully pressed.

Additional Improvements After Import (€5,000)

  • Comprehensive service including oil, filters, and spark plugs
  • Issuance and programming of a second key and remote
  • Replacement of the electric roof control panel
  • New ECU installed, retaining the engine map
  • PCM inspection and re-coding
  • Replacement of telephone wiring (still visible in photos, pending replacement)
