The 997.2 generation continues to be a sweet spot—modern enough to use regularly, but still very much connected and analog in all the ways that matter. The 3.8L direct-injected flat-six paired with PDK delivers that perfect mix of smooth, immediate power and usability. Most importantly, incredibly robust. ( No IMSB or bore score concerns with the 9A1) It’s quick when you want it to be, but just as happy settling into a long drive. Tight, composed, and confidence-inspiring—everything still feels sorted and dialed.
