The existing orders for the narrow Speedster, which came primarily from other European countries, were nevertheless built and delivered, even though it was never officially available for order. Compared to its Turbo-look counterpart, the narrow Speedster was actually the objectively “better” vehicle. Weighing 80 kilograms less, it drove much more dynamically precisely because of its narrower track, narrower tires, and the resulting lower rolling resistance. There is much to suggest that this is the true Speedster, which stands in the lineage between the 356 and its successor, the 964, and, with its low production numbers, is one of the rarest vehicles in Porsche history.
This example was originally delivered in Denmark and was handed over to a Danish collector by the Porsche Center Aarhus on May 31, 1989. The collector had the car professionally stored and maintained until 1996. In 1996, a southern German engineer and Porsche enthusiast purchased the car as its first German owner with 380 kilometers on the odometer and has owned it ever since.
Thus, the car and virtually its entire mileage of 40,976 kilometers have been driven exclusively by one person. The owner is a technically skilled and highly knowledgeable Porsche enthusiast who also serves as a judge awarding prizes to vehicles. The owner had his vehicle serviced exclusively at the Porsche Center Ingolstadt until 2020. Subsequently, the vehicle underwent a major service on September 25, 2020, at the Porsche Classic Center operated by RUF. Since then, the car has been driven only 700 kilometers.
The paint values of the measurable body parts are consistently at factory levels, indicating that the original paint is still fully intact.

The car was delivered to the first owner on May 31, 1989, by the Porsche Center Arhus in Denmark. The vehicle was not registered to the first owner and was kept in his collection. In October 1996, the car was imported into Germany and subsequently registered to the second owner, a private individual from the Munich area.
