BACKGROUND

The 997.1 Turbo is the last 911 Turbo ever built around the legendary Mezger engine: the dry-sump, GT1-derived 3.6-litre flat-six derived from the 911 GT1. Fed by twin variable-geometry turbochargers it produces 480PS and a massive 680nm available from just 1950rpm. Needless to say this is a fast car, even by modern standards. In manual and open-top form it is rapidly becoming a sought-after car: the last Mezger-powered 911 turbo, with a manual gearbox and an open view to the blue sky.

ABOUT THIS CAR

First registered in Northern Germany in January of 2008, it is finished in the rare shade of Slate Grey Metallic (L22D), a dark grey metallic with warm brown/green reflections, over an equally special dark grey soft leather interior (05 Sonderleder).

This Turbo Cabriolet left the factory with a genuinely enthusiast-focused specification: the factory 6-speed manual gearbox, Sport Chrono Package Plus, PASM active damper control, electrically adjustable Sport seats with heating on both sides, and the Porsche Exclusive short shifter.

It also comes with a large selection of Porsche Exclusive options to compliment the already special color combo; such as painted seat back rests (XSA), the painted exterior package (XAJ/DAJ), leather on every single interior panel from the center console (XMZ), sun visors (XMP), B-pillars (CDU), all the way to the PCM itself wrapped in Exclusive dark grey leather (CUR). Aluminum accents give contrast to this environment, with aluminum inserts on the steering wheel (CDD), an aluminum footrest (XXZ), aluminum shift/handbrake levers (DAD), and the stainless steel door sills with ‘Turbo’ lettering (X70).

Not only is it well-configured, it’s also impeccably maintained (almost) continuously by Porsche, with just three owners form new. It received an extensive service ahead of sale in August 2026: with new discs & pads all around, engine oil, brake fluid, all filters, an AC refill and spark plugs. It’s therefore ready to be enjoyed for many (fast) kilometers to come!
