While all generations of the Porsche 911 Turbo are great in their own way, the bold approach and departure from tradition of the 996 raised more than a few eyebrows in 1997. The first water-cooled 911 swapped the signature round headlights for a more modern design, and some earlier variants left something to be desired in terms of build quality and materials. But like all 911s, the 996 is now a prized car. The 996 Turbo was introduced in 2000 and its 3.6-liter “Mezger” flat-six put out 414 horsepower (309 kilowatts) at 6,000 rpm and 413 pound-feet (560 Nm) at 2,700 rpm.

This particular example benefits from the X50 ”original” performance package which effectively upgrades the Turbo S model, with a revised ECU the flat-six is ​​good for 480 horsepower.
