We first bought this car from a noted Surrey-based collector back in 2007. At this time it had covered 30,000 and had always been maintained by AFN Porsche, mainly at their Guildford branch, indeed it had been subject to a major service immediately prior to our purchase. This owner had also decided to replace the Sport specification engine cover with spoiler for the standard item, enhancing that glorious 911 profile. The original engine lid with spoiler accompanies the car.

We sold the car in the Summer of 2007 to a significant collector who retained it until last year. During his seventeen-year ownership the mileage increased to 36,000 miles with summer use, it was carefully stored in his collection at all other times.

We repurchased the car last year and sold it to a local regular customer of Hairpin. Prior to sale we had the 911 fully inspected and serviced by the gurus at Northway Porsche. A major service was completed, the tyres replaced and any items requiring attention were dealt with.

This last owner enjoyed the car on a tour of Spain last year but decided to exchange it with us for a more modern 911 for more regular usage.

A quick drive in this tight low mileage example reminded me how well these late 930’s drive, a real 911 sweet spot for me combining the feedback and character of the earlier models but with the robustness, more user friendly controls and easy to use G50 gearbox of the last cars. A real mood enhancer!
