O veículo em detalhes

Chassis No. WP0AC2991TS375221
Engine No. 61T01078

In the mid-1990s, Porsche’s statement posters were dominating bedroom walls, none more iconic than the Arena Red Metallic 911 Turbo streaking through a forest with the caption: “Kills bugs fast.” The graphic perfectly captured the era’s automotive zeitgeist. Arena Red became the color, and the 993-generation 911 Turbo the sports car of the decade. But looks were only part of the story. The final air-cooled 911 Turbo drew heavily from the legendary 959, boasting all-wheel drive, twin turbochargers, hollow-spoke wheels, a six-speed manual gearbox, and ABS. Official zero-to-60 mph times stood at 4.4 seconds—though magazines clocked it closer to 3.9. With its flared arches and fixed whale-tail wing, the 911 Turbo wasn’t just fast—it looked the part, and still kills bugs just as fast.

First sold at Stead Motors (now Porsche of Walnut Creek), this 911 Turbo was specified in that famous shade of Arena Red Metallic over a Black full leather interior. Naturally, as the top-of-the-line sports car from Porsche, the 911 Turbo was well equipped as standard with Litronic headlights, a Hi-Fi sound system with 10 speakers, an onboard computer system, full power seats, and more. Incredibly the car was ordered with an additional 16 options that included heated front seats with lumbar support, supple Black leather front and rear, a Remote CD Changer, Digital Sound Package, and more. After rolling off the assembly line, the car visited Porsche Exclusive for a further eight X-Code options. Burl and Rootwood are the dominant themes with the gear lever, handbrake, dashboard, and door panels all featuring the highly polished handcrafted wood. Additional Exclusive options include crested center caps, Black leather sun visors, metal door sills, and a very rare rear window washer system.

The 911 Turbo’s clean CARFAX Vehicle History Report lists two owners, with a title transfer between family members taking place in September 2017 after the original owner’s passing. The Turbo has remained a cherished family heirloom since new and has spent its entire life in Northern California, with regular servicing performed at Porsche Walnut Creek through 2013, by which point it had accumulated 44,926 miles. Thereafter the 993 Turbo would be carefully stored and would see limited use for more than a decade, reemerging earlier this year as somewhat of a time capsule!

The highly original Turbo would receive a major service in March 2025 at European Auto Repair of Walnut Creek, totaling $5,800, including an oil and filter change using synthetic fluids, a fuel system service including a new fuel filter and fuel pump, new spark plugs, and a brake fluid flush. A July 2025 inspection by a Broad Arrow specialist confirmed that the car retains its original Arena Red Metallic paintwork on its body panels, and is accompanied by its serialized books, its original window sticker and purchase order, a tool kit, space-saver spare, jack, tire inflator kit, and bra and car cover in their Porsche-crested bags. A fresh set of Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires have just been installed, and the Turbo was treated to a complete detail to return it as close as possible to its showroom condition.

Perhaps striking the finest balance between vintage and modern, performance and refinement, this final-generation air-cooled Turbo remains one of Porsche’s most complete and compelling road cars.
