As far as I know, there is currently a waiting period of approximately 3 years at AP Car Design for a rebuild !!!

The cost of the rebuild is said to range from €150,000 to approximately €230,000 for the narrow-body version, depending on the specific modifications requested for the car!!!

It would take too long to list here all the work that was done on the 964 during the rebuild!!!

First registered July 1, 1991; garage-kept; non-smoker; air conditioning; ESSD; single-family home; tinted windows with green wedge-shaped front windshield; power steering; central locking; Becker Indianapolis radio/CD player and navigation system; solid black paint (L700—this is the original factory color)

Service history maintained at AP and Porsche specialists.

Approx. 29,300 km driven since the restoration.

The odometer was reset to 0 km by AP Car Design at approximately 175,000 km after the restoration and documented in the service booklet.

Total mileage is approximately 203,000 km as per the original records.

TÜV / AU valid through 05/28, including a new Extended WGA (used by the insurance company to determine the vehicle’s value for premium calculation) valid through 05/2026, with a condition rating of 2+ and a replacement value of €165,000!

The vehicle is genuinely second-hand!!!

= 1x USA and 1x Germany = second-hand.

So no additional owner entry in the vehicle registration certificate!

I registered the car under my classic car license plate (07 series) for insurance purposes; for the reasons mentioned, I haven’t actually had a chance to drive it!

Another transmission and differential overhaul, new Sachs Sport clutch and dual-mass flywheel, new aluminum valve cover, transmission and engine oil, dual ignition distributor—disassembled, inspected, and fitted with a new belt, battery, KW coilover struts in the front replaced with new ones, new Michelin PS2 tires with N3, Porsche recall—entire steering column replaced by PZ as a goodwill gesture!

The carpets were completely replaced; the headliner, trim, dashboard, etc., are all in Alcantara with Viper Green accent stitching; RS lightweight bucket seats + RS lightweight door panels; Wiechers X roll bar; FULL carbon fiber package!!!
