Jorge is the first fully restored reference vehicle from DAVID Finest Sports Cars and marks the launch of a new line of high-quality, air-cooled Porsches from Hamburg. The basis for this extraordinary project is a 1991 Porsche 964 Carrera 2, first registered on March 27, 1992. The vehicle was originally delivered in Grand Prix White with a black leather interior. During the restoration, Jorge was completely disassembled, stripped down to the bare chassis, and then repainted in Jet Green Metallic.
The aim of the project was not to fundamentally alter the character of the 964, but to consistently refine it. DAVID Finest Sports Cars views Jorge as a benchmark vehicle: a rebuilt air-cooled 911 that remains visually close to the original, yet has been technically modernized where it improves driving feel, quality, and everyday practicality. The total cost of the project is approximately 300,000 euros.
The body was completely disassembled; every component was inspected, overhauled, refined, or replaced. On the exterior, Jorge received specific RS accents, including the front air intakes, an RS rear bumper, and a rear window in the style of the 964 Carrera RS. The original headlights were converted to LED technology. At first glance, however, the Jorge remains deliberately understated—in keeping with the North German approach to understatement championed by DAVID Finest Sports Cars.
The powertrain has also been extensively overhauled. The 3.6-liter boxer engine was completely rebuilt. The cylinder heads were machined, larger intake valves were installed, and the intake ports were adjusted accordingly. In addition, sharper 288° camshafts with a 2.1 mm valve lift were added. The displacement remained unchanged at 3.6 liters, but power increased to 313 hp. The original engine management system was retained and individually tuned on the dyno. A GT-style midweight flywheel, combined with the stock clutch, ensures more responsive revving. The exhaust system consists of a Cup pipe and a 100-cell catalytic converter.
The transmission was also overhauled and combined with a 40-percent limited-slip differential. The shift travel remained standard. Inside, a Carrera GT gearshift lever is used, underscoring the sporty and exclusive feel of the cockpit.
The suspension has been replaced with a KW V3 featuring an HLS 4 lift system. The lift system’s pump is installed in the spare tire well, and the control button has been discreetly integrated into the fog light switch. The axle mounts have been completely overhauled and given a sportier setup with rubber mounts that are approximately 30 percent stiffer. This allows Jorge to combine more precise handling with a base setup that remains suitable for everyday use.
The braking system has also been adapted to match the performance and suspension level. Porsche 993 Turbo brake calipers are used on the front axle, combined with 322-mm brake rotors. The rear axle features 299-mm brake rotors, perforated in the style of the 964 RS. The wheels are BBS LeMans with a gold star, sized 8.5 x 18 inches with an offset of 50 at the front and 10 x 18 inches with an offset of 50 at the rear. Jorge is equipped with Michelin Pilot Sport 2 tires with an N rating in 225/40 ZR 18 at the front and 265/35 ZR 18 at the rear.
The interior has been refined with equal parts consistency and taste. The door panels are inspired by the 964 Carrera RS, and the Recaro Pole Position seats feature seat shells painted in Jet Green Metallic. The leather interior is finished in a two-tone Bottle Green/Black scheme and features matching stitching. Added to this are custom round instruments and a Porsche Classic Performance steering wheel, which was retrofitted with a bottle green 12 o’clock marker and green stitching.
A Blaupunkt Bremen SQR 46 infotainment system ensures modern usability. The speaker setup was deliberately kept minimal: only two speakers were installed in the doors; a subwoofer or additional components under the seat were not used.
Jorge is thus an exceptionally meticulously built Porsche 964 Carrera 2 with a clear focus on original character, quality, and driving precision. It exemplifies the philosophy of DAVID Finest Sports Cars: to bring classic air-cooled Porsches to life in such a way that they feel like a new car from a bygone era—with the sound, feel, and emotional appeal of the past, but with the build quality and tuning of today.
