Porsche built just 290 examples of its incredibly focused RS N/GT, which was a road-going development of the 964-type Carrera Cup race car. Configured with the key “M003” option code, Recaro bucket seats with Schroth harnesses plus a welded roll cage were added to the RS model’s already pared back interior that featured thinner glass, simplified door cards, and a lighter wiring loom. This was a 911 that offered among the very purest driving experiences.
Presented in its factory shade of Grand Prix White and wearing a set of magnesium, 17-inch Cup wheels, the car offered here was originally delivered to Geneva in March 1992. The RS N/GT remained in Switzerland for the first two decades of its life before a 2013 move to Belgium, where it has remained ever since alongside a host of other special-edition Porsches as part of The Curated Collection. Importantly, the windows retain their original security markings, and both the bonnet and engine lid have their correct numbers which match the shell number.
Accompanied by its owner’s guides, service book, jack, and space saver spare wheel, this engaging and highly desirable Carrera RS N/GT showed 35,609 kilometres at the time of cataloguing. Widely regarded as the true successor to the RS 2.7 Lightweight, this example deserves consideration by any serious Porsche enthusiast.
