In 2024, when the current consignor acquired the car with just 1,572 miles, he had PreFix Performance Center, in Pontiac, Michigan perform a full baseline service. The service included full brake and oil fluids change and fresh Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires were added in 2025.
Today, this Speedster is in time-capsule condition with just 1,606 miles, no modifications, known history from new, and complete with Speedster-specific literature. With modern sports cars from the 2010s gaining extreme popularity in the market due to their analog feel and appropriate sizing, the Speedster checks every single collectability box and is a must-have for any serious Porsche Collection. It is an extremely limited production model with just 356 units, has genuine performance with 408 horsepower, and is free from the bloat later 911 generations ushered in. All of these factors make us think the Speedster is primed to have its moment with the likes of other less exclusive 997 models rising in value over the past few years.
Included in the sale of this Speedster are its books and manuals, two keys, Speedster-specific literature, original window sticker, service records, car cover, and clean Carfax.

The History
Unveiled in 2011 the 911 Speedster was built as a homage to the first Porsche to ever use the name, the 356 Speedster. On the surface it seems as just another convertible 911 but upon closer inspection the Speedster is much more than that.
The car sits 60 millimeters lower, the windshield is significantly raked, and the rear “double-bubble” clam shell in the back hides the deletion of the rear seats, along with a 44 millimeter wider body that completes the streamlined look. To power the Speedster, Porsche used the 3.8 liter engine found in the GTS and makes 408 horsepower, which slots right below the GT3, for perspective on how performance driven these cars are. Each Speedster was equipped with Porsche’s carbon ceramic brakes, PDK gearbox, and could be painted in either ‘Pure Blue’ or ‘Carrara White.’
To further differentiate the Speedster and flex the craftsmanship of the Porsche Exclusive program, throughout the cabin you will find many leather wrapped pieces such as the door pulls, window switches, air vent surrounds and slats, gearbox surround and more that are stitched with matching blue threads or paint-matched blue leather in some cases.
In total, Porsche built just 356 examples, making it the second rarest 997 variant behind the Sport Classic and one of the rarest Speedster models ever produced. These numbered cars are a part of a small group of modern Porsches with sub 500 unit examples. Their desirability is based on rarity, performance, craftsmanship and beauty of design.
