Just before slipping inside of its inviting Sand Beige Standard Leather cabin, you’re first met by black door sills with ‘Carrera S’ insignia plated in brushed-look aluminum, and when inside you can expect to find light-colored twin-stitching and aluminum/brushed aluminum/metallic-coated surfacing on select areas with carpeting completed in Sand Beige. The driver is faced with a two-toned, leather-wrapped 3-spoke steering wheel; titanium-colored instrumentation dials; 6.5-inch touchscreen navigation display; the super precise, 6-speed shifter. Front occupants are embraced by perforated Comfort seats featuring memory settings for the driver, and heating functionality for both occupants and can expect in-cabin audio playback via the optioned BOSE Surround Sound System, featuring 13-speakers.

The 997.2 represents the final iteration of the 911’s iconic svelte and “right-sized” silhouette, taking form from previous generations; with the 991 and now 992 911s, this is lost. Though featuring a suite of electronic conveniences, it’s still largely analog and this sought-after characteristic isn’t tainted by the “powers that be”; the S variant comes equipped as standard with the sought-after Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) system (aids in intensifying the already scalpel-like handling characteristics) along with a naturally aspirated engine with nearly 400-hp that’s shared with the 991 as well as updated interior components. This 911 generation beautifully borrows things from the new generation, yet still retains the old ideologies of what makes a 911, a 911.
